you are always there in my mind

every now and then and where and when

guiding me and watching over me .

grant me the grace to distinguish

all of the thoughts that are meant for me

and those that need to let me be ,

help me to control those thoughts

that sweep over me in a storm

trying to drown me in a cruel way .

Mother of thoughts

when the troubles of life come

be in my thoughts so I would know

that you are there to help me everyday .

Mother of thoughts

prevent the thoughts that don’t belong to me

and need to be sent on their way

never to return again .

Mother of thoughts

I am grateful that you are there

in my thoughts and on my mind

from the very first moment that they came .
