Lady Of The Sidewalks

Lady of the sidewalks

help those lonely people 

who try to hide 

be like the shadow

standing at their side , 

when the  dark clouds 

gather then they will know 

the comforting grace 

there in your shadow .

Lady of the sidewalks

you are always there 

in the bright sunlight   ,

with the blue mantle 

of the sky in sight ,

somewhere beyond this 

world there you depart 

to the  sidewalks of the soul 

in our heart .

Lady of the sidewalks

you see the homeless 

with no food to eat ,

bring hope to them 

on the sidewalks of the street  .

Lady of the sidewalks

it’s cold and dark 

when no one seems to care ,

but you are the  answer 

to every prayer .
