With the support you give me  

I know they’ll have to agree .

when  I need to stand alone 

as I often have to do 

that is when you’re always there 

in the things I’m going through .

thank you for everything 

you bring that make the wrongs all right .

You walk with me in the 

mystery that’s hidden out of sight

Mother of cleansing  

help us to wash

the black marks from our face 

of tears we have cried

in years of disgrace .

 

Mother of cleansing  

here in the rooms where 

memories are kept ,

remove unwanted 

dust that’s been unswept .

 

Mother of cleansing  

like a white tornado 

in every room 

remove the dirt 

with a heavenly new broom .

 

Mother of cleansing  .

Throw out the rubbish 

from this little home ,

all the baggage 

that we really don’t own .

 

Mother of cleansing  

wipe  the  stains of guilt that

remain unseen .

The footprints on floors 

that we should have cleaned .

 

Mother of cleansing  .

Kill the mould left by cold 

words some have said 

that lie like monsters 

underneath the  bed .

 

Mother of cleansing  

Make our lives and homes 

a place to be proud ,

where love’s the only company allowed .

who are insulting

and allow healing to bring
