Mother
of winter
shelter
us all from hunger and cold ,
into
your loving arms we enfold
as
the night falls and our hands are froze ,
out
on the streets as the wild wind blows
Mother
of winter
we
all need shelter sometimes you see
it
could even be some poor family ,
who
have fallen on hard times out there
any
one of us could need shelter.
Mother
of winter
shelter
us from the rain and the snow ,
shelter
us from pain that we know .
shelter
us from danger on the street ,
shelter
us when we’ve nothing to eat .
Mother
of winter
when
everything is going wild
bring
us the warmth of a friendly smile
into
our minds bring us peace and love
and
a miracle from God above .
