We hold the mic but you’re the cable .

Unplug us and we are disabled .

we sing songs of grace at the table .

Mother of singing ,

We sing anytime we are able  .

Mother of singing ,

you sang to your child in the stable .

Mother of singing ,

You sang to your child in the cradle .

songs of truth cannot be a fable .

from making a wrong decision .

remind all drivers they have the lives 

of other’s in their hands .

inspire drivers to say a prayer 

before making their travel plans .

look at the obstacles in my way .

Help me to get through .

show me the way to achieve 
all the things I have to do .

you focus on spiritual things

no human eyes can see   .

 Mother of open eyes,
 I fall down upon my knees

and ask you to look at me .

Mother of open eyes, 
recharge me when I’m weary   

and I’ve nothing more to give .

Mother of open eyes, 
you see the future

and the past of this life that I live .

Mother of open eyes, 
your presence in my life  

I have always loved so dearly .

Mother of open eyes, 
show me a glimpse of hope      

that I may see you more clearly .

Mother of open eyes,
 bring compromise to situations where I may be blind .

Mother of open eyes,

enlighten the darkness that would try to distract my mind .

Mother of open eyes
 look with favour

on the things that I am trying to do .
