Mother of the ocean

how near and how far you are

out there somewhere

in and open place where the horizon

touches the sky and your presence lies

over the ocean.

 

Mother of the ocean

My thoughts drift to you

like boat floating away

beyond where the waves break

in the sunshine where my troubles are left behind

over the ocean

 

 Mother of the ocean

I reflect as the stillness of the night

falls down softly over the shimmering seascape

of light from the moon and the stars

over the ocean

 

 Mother of the ocean

beyond the earth , there’s a  universe ,

with a cosmos of endless time ,

and we’re drifting away forever

in space and time  ,

over the ocean.

thank you for being there

when there was nobody who reached out and gave  .

 

Mother of care

It was you shone the light

That helped me make my way out from the cave .

 

Mother of care

you helped me stand

when I was too weak to confront those who held me down .

 

Mother of care

when the world turned against me

you came into my life and hope was found .

 

Mother of care

you lifted me from despair

and gave me a reason to try again .

When I was at my worst you gave me your best

and I’m so glad you came..

take us home to the place that we belong.

Guide us with a light that is shining strong .

Shine your light until the darkness is gone.

And give us the strength to keep moving on .

There is a light that’s always flickering

That tells us never  give up , don’t give in

 

Mother of the guiding light

It’s not easy but we’ll get there someday

tomorrows  out of sight , show us the way .

So we can get back to where we belong ..
