Mother of the void there is a dark cloud

That comes now and then in the hearts of men .

Mother of the void we cry out aloud

and in silent tears for years and for years .

Mother of the void in a silent shroud

We find a heart space where we see your face .

Mother of the void somewhere in the crowd

You hear those who call and answer them all .

sadness and elation there is a level of peace

of whatever happens you bring a relief .

Mother of emotions inside the troubled mind you can find

the face behind the dark disguise . 

Mother of emotions in the gloom and the doom  

You bring hope for the heart and light for our eyes .

Mother of emotions you ignore the tantrums and things

We your children constantly demand . 

Mother of emotions when we are tossed by anger

you always have a ear to understand . 

Mother of emotions when we get upset or frustrated

you place your mantle over us  .

Mother Of The Rain

Mother of the rain the blue sky split in two

and suddenly it came , in a rainbow hue .

Mother of the rain there was no where to hide

and the flowers began to dance where they’d died .

Mother of the rain the drought stopped suddenly

and the effect of the rain was clear  to see .

Mother of the rain waterfalls fell again into pools

where ripples of sunlight became

reflections of heaven that had long gone dry

but the drought was broken

by rain from the sky .
