protect and assist those who cannot stand .

Mother of the old , 

repair the wear and tear of life’s demand .

Mother of the old ,

 help the confused find ways to understand .

Mother of the old , 

may those on their own find a helping hand .

Mother of the old,

provide support for those who are in need .

Mother of the old ,

encourage those who need some help to feed .

Mother of the old , 

increase care for the aged as years proceed .

Mother of the old, 

you’re always there to hear and intercede .

and ask you to look at me .

recharge me when I’m weary   

and I’ve nothing more to give .

you see the future

and the past of this life that I live .

your presence in my life  

I have always loved so dearly .

show me a glimpse of hope      

that I may see you more clearly .

 bring compromise to situations where I may be blind .

enlighten the darkness that would try to distract my mind .
