Mother Of Understanding

Mother of understanding I would gladly give ,

Each hour of each day and every moment I live

Because you have shown me by your heavenly power

an understanding of just who you really are   .

Mother of understanding you hear what I say

and when I pray to you I know you’ll find a way

to answer me and to tell me that you’re always there

 because you understand everything and you care  .

Mother of understanding some have done me wrong

and have harmed me and made me feel I don’t belong

because they don’t understand me and what I say .

I’m so blessed to know you’re there Mother , every day .  

Mother of understanding and powerful too

How encouraging to know you know what is true   .

You see what is right and you will try for my sake

to bring justice and take away all the heart ache     .

Mother of understanding everything I do

my whole life through is to honour and to praise you ,

Thank you for understanding me when no one can 

listen or support me or try to lend a hand .
