as we knelt and prayed we felt

that you were always near .

 

Mother of the innocent

you walked with us through troubles

and drove away the fear .

 

Mother of the innocent

You watched us play

in the childhood years we outgrew .

 

Mother of the innocent

you were in the laugher

of the childhood days we knew .

 

Mother of the innocent

we grew up fast

and left all our childhood days behind .

Help us in our old age

to be innocent and kind .

keep in your heart those fathers

who have been separated from their children .

your own son said he had to do

his fathers work when he walked among men .

assist those who find it difficult

to recognise their fathers on earth .

Mother of fathers

bring blessings upon all fathers who

are anxiously awaiting a birth .


Mother of fathers

help those fathers who have lost a child

and have to keep living without them.

Mother of fathers

 hear the prayers of all those fathers

who are worried about their children .

Mother of fathers

into your loving arms we place

all our fathers who have gone before us .

Mother of fathers

may your guide fathers and increase in them

the faith that they have learnt to trust .

dangerous germs around us .

prevent airborne germs

from intrusion into my space .

cleanse contamination

by the power of your grace .

germs cannot exist ,

in your presence they disappear .

you’re the shield

that protects me from harm ,

always be near .

keep me safe

from contagious diseases

that are there .

Shut out all of the

unseen viruses everywhere .

you are always immaculate

in every way .

I turn to you for protection

for those who have been deeply hurt

help them to find the time they need to heal .

for those who hide their emotions

may they find a way to let their tears flow .

for those imprisoned

by guilt lead them to a place where they can let it go .
